Seems they have played right into his hands.
If the Republicans wanted to really dig at the guy they could require that all participants in Presidential Debates submit long forms to get in the debates.
They could do it under the ostensible purpose of “ensuring that all of _our_ candidates meet the Constitution’s requirement for President”.
