Suppose his real birth record shows he was born in the Territory of Hawaii a few years earlier? The Republican Party ran a candidate (Barry Goldwater) who was born in a U.S. territory. If it was OK then, it must be OK now.
Wow, what legal logic! Get away with one murder and *presto* all murder is now legal!
I don’t want to go too far afield, but in reading a lot of this stuff over the last week or so since Trump got into the B/C thing, a thought crossed my mind re the qualification of being a “natural born citizen”. How does that play out if sometime in the future we have an invitro fertilized baby running for Pres. Is that considered “natural born”?
And was either of Barry Goldwater’s parents not a US Citizen??

There is no Constitutional requirement for "running" for office. In fact, even resident alien green card holder's who are felon's can "run" for office.
Of course, none but a "natural born Citizen" may actually "be" President (or VP).
And then, there's lot's of debate as to why a Secretary of State would even allow such a non eligible candidate to even be on the ballot in the first place.
