The Bowl Championship Series is so troubled by the graft exposed in Tuesday’s Fiesta Bowl corruption report that it appointed a special “task force.” Among the members is an athletics director who accepted a free Caribbean cruise from the Orange Bowl just last summer.

Yes, there’s nothing like having a guy – in this case, Southern Mississippi’s Richard Giannini – who takes lavish gifts from one bowl game to judge another bowl game for giving out lavish gifts.

As always... money makes the world go around.

The NCAA is a joke... as is the BCS bowl system.

If they don't clean house, it is a matter of time before congress steps in to cause havoc.

BCS has a back up plan.

Make them look good by punishing the Fiesta Bowl

Move that Bowl slot to Jerry Jones's Palace it a win win for NCAA and BCS.

I think I'm going to help start a group that will boycott every bowl game on television and encourage every "fan" to NOT travel to any bowl games till they put in a playoff system. This is such a scam. If the feds really want to get serious they'll get some forensic accountants and the IRS to start looking into the "charities" that run these Bowl games and display where the money goes.

I can bet that you'll see a whole lot of rats falling out of that little investigation.

I recently read that several BCS teams, including Auburn, actually LOST money by playing in the Bowl Game, after expenses.

That might be the thing that finally gets us a playoff, when the schools realize how much money a playoff system would generate.

all they need to do is look at the NFL contract for television. HUGE. Plus there is more loyalty and merchandising that the schools DON'T have to share with the "student athletes"...hahahahahaha
