You were arty, right? 0811? Was your basecamp off Basilone rd at that time?

Roger that - I did arty school there and then assigned to Whiskey Battery, 3/13 - four deuce mortars. I can't remember where either was located, but I do recall humping that mortar up and down "Sheep$hit Mountain" many times.
13th Marines was part of the 5th Mar Div and we participated in the official re-activation ceremony and parade. It was quite an honor.
After a couple of months I got "volunteered" for VN.
