What???? Dude, Jim DeMental is a crazy nut! There he goes with that anti-UN red meat propaganda for all you wingers. Face it - the UN is the only reason we even have anything resembling world peace today. If people like Jim DeMental got their way, we’d be in the middle of a nuclear war right now.

The United States, as a sovereign nation and the greatest on the planet, does not cede authority to the UN or any other body. Our “representatives” would do well to remember that. The UN can pass all the resolutions they want; we’re not interested.

How can a country that gives more rights to pedophiles than to their victims dictate child protection policy? If they are actually looking to protect children, let’s start with our own first.

This is a serious threat to parents, and yet most do not even know it exists. The countries that have ratified this treaty for the most part ignore it, but in the U.S. a ratified treaty is evaluated to constitutional level and is enforceable law. The State Dept. has said that passage of this treaty is a priority, and still the average person does not know or understand how close to the cliff edge we are.
There is an excellent documentary on this called ‘The Child’. A trailer can be viewed at the parents rights website-
http://www.parentalrights.org/
or on youtube at-

We have bought some copies and are doing showing in our house and in local churches.......

Sen. DeMint has garnered considerable support among senators to prevent the necessary two-thirds vote to ratify CRC.

No, he hasn't. The Constitution specifies that a treaty can be ratified by "two-thirds of Senators present," not two thirds of the Senate. Treaties have been ratified without a quorum or committee vote. You can bet hapless Harry Reid is apt to try it during the next lame duck session should the RATS suffer a major defeat next November.
