It will be interesting if UN, (ICC) or Holder try to charge the Florida pastor with a crime.

BTW - regarding my posts #40-41 and Pigs parts
This is why we can’t even send any sausage, pepperoni, etc to the troops - NO PORK PRODUCTS allowed in country.

I say it’s the best weapon and could send the cretins running for the hills - and caves - and rat holes.

To hell with rules - should be a bit illegal for them to be beheading people

Have you read Dallaire's Shake Hands with the Devil?

I only say this because I believe the soldiers on the ground in Rwanda cared deeply and wished they could do more but their hands were tied above them. At one point they were denied the ability to even carry weapons. That said they did follow orders and often abandoned many Rwandans, who were subsequently killed.

I have read a great deal about Rwanda and it haunts me very much to this day.

Haven't read that one, but I'm very familiar with what happened. That's what makes me sad about what happened.

The bigwigs at the UN won't allow them to defend themselves. The blood is on the hands of Ban Ki-Moon and the rest of the UN for not giving their staffers a fighting chance.

The article says that they were told that a Koran was burned in Florida.

I certainly don't understand the peacekeeping missions without weapons for self-protection at least.

Looks like five of the UN guards killed in Afghanistan were Nepalese.

The Afghans had written a 10-point declaration that outlined their anger after the March 20 Koran burning by Terry Jones, a pastor from Gainesville, Fla., who sparked an uproar last year by threatening to burn the Islamic holy book, but then backed off for a time after warnings from U.S. officials and others that his actions could provoke a violent response. Among the points on the declaration was that Afghanistan should sever all ties to the United States if Jones was not punished, according to protesters.

Huh? Is this an Afghanistan thing?

Sausages and other pork items are regularly shipped to and received by Americans in Iraq and pork items (like those gross Vienna sausages) are also sold at the PX. Pepperoni and sausage are available on pizzas at the AAFES Pizza Huts as well as at Iraqi restaurants operating on base.

Interesting.

When my grandson was in Afghanistan, friends and neighbors and the community ‘adopted’ his platoon and we sent over 100 boxes - and I was coordinating with others who did/do the same.

We were all told, emphatically - NO PORK PRODUCTS

(end of third paragraph)
