It will take a veeeeeery long time for the American people to reach that point. Hell, that point may only be reached when Islam has become the majority in this nation, when it is too late.
Congress should learn from what we know already, that it will not be possible to co-exist with Islam and survive as a nation. All that these congress critters have to do is read the history of the West vis-a-vis Islam and get rid of the PC attitude that drives them.
