But another point I'd like to make it that this idiotic Dodgers-Giants rivalry is totally out of control. I've seen Dodger fans hassled and harassed both at old Candlestick and the new Pac-Bell park. So this situation with Giants-Dodgers has escalated into the insanity of a gang type thing. It's totally consistant with the mentality of the types who were the perps in this case. Because of the culture of the people involved now, what use to be a spirited but reasonable rivalry, has taken on the characteristics of a gang situation. Sad and pathetic. But not surprising to those of us who know what's going on.

I went to the playoff game at Dodger Stadium in 2006 to see The Mets, clad in team gear. The only seats we could obtain were in the pavillion (bleachers). I have no idea how, exactly, that evolved (nor do I care) but when the 'Tude spread from the players to a significan portion of the fans, it became a cultural corner I've learned to live without it for decades, now.
