WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama is extending his deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif by protesters enraged by the burning of a Quran in Florida.
Obama says desecration of the Quran "is an act of extreme intolerance and bigotry."

The US government destroys Bibles brought into Afghanistan. So Barry Soetoro has no problems torching Bibles, in fact, orders it to take place, but light up his operating manual? 'Extreme...' (a word we know the DNC Caucus advises to be used freely and liberally in any conversation).
Yet, the sound of crickets when Muslims destroy Bibles. Asinine!

I suggest May 29 to commemorate that day in 1453 when the Muslim invaders butchered all the Christians who had taken refuge in the Aya Sophia in (then) Constantinople. There’s a tradition that when the building returns to Christian authority, the priests will again materialize.

Apparently it is okay for the US Government to burn Bibles but not for US citizens to burn a Koran.

At the end of the day the Quran is just a book. If someone believes that it is more then that that is their right and it would be entirely appropiate for them to not burn it. But, to say somebody else can not destroy their own copy of a book is just rude.
