A Clueless Presidency Adrift in a Sea of Confusion: Obama Sinks Again at the Polls
The Daily Telegraph ^ | April 1, 2011 | Nile Gardiner

This week's Quinnipiac University national poll should be a devastating reading for the White House, against a background of mounting confusion over Libya, paralysis in the face of a massive national debt, economic problems and a possible shutdown of Congress. Obama is now at the LOWEST approval level of his presidency, with his weakest reelect score ever. Obama receives strong negativity ratings for his handling of virtually all key issues, including the economy, budget deficit, health care, foreign policy and energy policy. Other polls, including Rasmussen and RealClearPolitics, confirm this. At the core of the presidency's declining fortunes is Obama's lack of leadership, both at home and abroad. Libya has reinforced the impression of a White House adrift in a sea of confusion.

No one with half a brain - liberal, conservative, independent - is really surprised that a far-Left community organizer who served 150 days in the Senate (most of which were spent campaigning) is in over his head. The tragedy for America would be the electorate's failure to repudiate his socialistic agenda decisively in the next election. Victory in the House was a good first step but only a step that must be followed up in the Senate and the Executive branch.

He doesn’t need to be faster than the bear..he just needs to be faster than a GOP candidate. Right now..that isn’t hard.

“He doesn’t need to be faster than the bear..he just needs to be faster than a GOP candidate. Right now..that isn’t hard.”

This cycle is starting a lot sooner than in the past.

The long list of GOP hopefulls will narrow, and from the ones staying in, will emerge some who are effective at highlighting Obama’s (many) shortcomings.

Part of the advantage Obama held in 2008 was he had little of a record.

Now his record is his disadvantage, except of course with his lemming diehards.

The middle class is NOT better off than they were in 2008, nor is America.

Advantage GOP IF...IF a man or woman can make the case persuasively.

When you’re dancing with a bear we all know you can’t get tired and sit down. You have to wait until the bear gets tired - and then you sit down.

I don’t care if this fool has the highest or lowest poll numbers; he needs to go.

Right - he’s relying on SEIU, organized labor, the liberal plantation blacks, Hispanics who want amnesty, and the usual N.Y. Times liberal elitists to railroad him to reelection. It all will depend on turn-out. This is why the GOP has to nominate a solid candidate who will unify the majority of Americans who DEFINITELY don’t like Obama.

Exactly! That’s why it’s important that conservatives not beome complacent because of the polls and the House victory. The greatest danger is losing momentum and failing to strongly support good candidates. As Yogi said, “It ain’t over ‘til it’s over.” We still have to take the Senate and getting rid of Obama won’t be easy.

True! Maybe we should call that 13% the “lemming faction.”

Does he take himself seriously? He’s either delusional or knows inside he is not presidential material and just acting out the part puppet style.

"13% of the US population will vote for Obama irrespective of any political, economic or security woes...Marion Berry anyone?"

If that 13% were all we had to worry about for Obambi to win reelection, we'd be ok.

But there's so many more hate America types, plus those who don't think he's destroying our country fast enough but know he'll destroy it faster than anyone else, who will vote for him again.

Those are who we need to worry about...those are the people who got this POS elected in the first place....
