My concern about 2012 is — because I’m an American — to make sure that Obama is a one term President.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Republicans seem to be comfortable with nominating men who have been married twice (Reagan, Dole, McCain), but not with men who have been married three times. (Trump has been married four times.)
If it came down to Giuliani or Trump, I'd go with Giuliani--Trump is too much of a loose cannon and I'm still ticked off at him for his trashing of George W. Bush. He isn't enough of a Republican to be on the Republican ticket--it would be worse than if McCain had insisted on Lieberman as VP in 2008. But it definitely won't come down to a choice between Giuliani and Trump.
Two other Republican Presidents were married twice but the second marriage occurred after the first wife died--Benjamin Harrison and Theodore Roosevelt. In Harrison's case the second marriage was after he left office.
