"Meh...not a big fan of commie propaganda..."

I don't like commie propaganda at all. However I found the opening scenes of "Enemy at the Gates" very worth watching. I explained to my kids that in my view, it represents the stupidity of Stalin and how he crippled his own military by his purges.

As for 9th Company, I plan to watch it. I would love to see some movies produced by American film makers showing the true course of action in the battle of Fallujah and the battles the guys are fighting in Afghanistan. "Avatar" seems to be the best that the jackasses in America can come up with regarding the military.

For that matter, we are not seeing the realistic portrayals of the atrocities being committed by the Taliban and other jihadists. ROP and all that PC crap. For now, maybe 9th Company would be a good source to get an idea of the problem the troops face.

You want to watch a movie, you will never forget...watch “Idi I Smotri (Come and See)” It was a Belorussian movie made around 1986, really no Commie propaganda in it at all, just showed the brutality of the Nazis, that no Hollywood movie ever dared to touch.

Right you are. The first part of that movie has the same power as did the original "All Quiet on the Western Front."

Brilliant in its portrayal of those awful times.

Ever read the book? It's 1,000 times better than the movie.
