A state Assembly committee dominated by Democrats this morning killed two bills that sought to require public officials to report suspected illegal immigrants and prohibit employers from knowingly hiring the immigrants.
Freshman Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, R-Twin Peaks, an activist with the Minuteman movement, proposed an Arizona-style crackdown on illegal immigrants because he said the federal government is doing an inadequate job protecting the borders.

Oh, it’s not just the Democrats. I can think of a recent Republican President who did everything he could to aid and abet Mexico’s illegal alien invasion, and the only reason he didn’t force amnesty on us as well is because we all rose up in anger and melted the phone lines to Congress. The Bush wing of the GOP is very bad news and will try it once again this election with Jeb.
Why are these numbnuts trying to pass a new, “Arizona style” law when we already have such a law in the books in California?
I agree with your assessment of GWB: He was beyond awful re: his insane position on illegal immigrants.
Hiring an illegal by an employer has been against Federal law for over 20 years.
As long as California & other states continue to ignore the illegals who are holding jobs instead of Americans, those states deserve to die.
