“Extreme Couponing” on the air now. This first hour appears to be a repeat of their pilot show back in December. The first show in the series will begin at 9 PM.

PJ, I tried to identify specific cases of these coupon crazy women that I do, actually, have an issue with. I have a problem with someone who goes to a grocery store with 20+ coupons and wipes everything off the shelf! I, too, stock up on food and supplies, but there are women who truly go overboard, and that is what I specifically mentioned in my comment. Stores are on a just-in-time shipping system and what is on the shelf is ALL THERE IS until another shipment arrives. So when one person buys dozens of jars of peanut butter, for example, that leaves nothing for anyone else for, possibly, days. I think that’s crass behavior that has more to do with, yes, greed, than it does common sense or frugality.

I watched it with my 12 y.o. daughter, and we were amazed! I think this summer I am going to be making getting to this level my part-time job. We move at the end of next month, after my daughter graduates from Catholic grade school. The kids and I will be staying with the in-laws in Indiana to save rent money while dh lives rent-free in the company rental in Ohio. This should give me time to develop my couponing strategies because my in-laws are both retired and looking forward to giving me some much needed rest this summer (dh has been in Ohio since November, leaving me a temporary single parent to four kids under 13 since then with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break). Meanwhile, I’m warming up with WAGS RR and getting free toothpaste, body wash, razors, and more. My dh is getting bored with my conquests I relay over the phone, but he’s impressed at the same time ;) He wants me to send him some of my extra coupons.

I just now posted my impressions of tonight’s episodes of “Extreme Couponing” in the latest edition of The Coupon Whisperer.

“Care packages of what? (Febreze? Apple Jacks?) The last thing “Extreme Couponing” exhibits is a sense of caring — to say nothing of sharing.”

He can kiss my butt and eat his words. I should show him my post office receipts for ALL the packages I send using Anysoldier.com

Let me tell you, Mr Reporter (if he is reading this thread)
The soldiers are VERY VERY VERY appreciative of what I send and I couldn’t do it without extreme couponing.

SO
SHUT UP.
