That's because your a base materialist. For you, you yourself are the highest calling. That's fine, but it's about pissing distance from nihilism.
I disagree. Granted, I am a materialist, but materialists have certainly been known to reproduce on occasion, after all. I simply have no desire to do so myself. Children are messy, expensive, and require an investment of time and responsibility that I'm not willing to make.
To anyone who does want kids, more power to you...as long as I don't have to help support them.
