A prominent libertarian constitutional lawyer and civil libertarian has drafted an article of impeachment against President Obama over his attack on Libya, throwing down a legal gauntlet that could be picked up by some Congressional Republicans
Bruce Fein, a former Reagan administration official in the Department of Justice and chairman of American Freedom Agenda writes in his 15-page argument of Obama's course that "Barack Hussein Obama has mocked the rule of law, endangered the very existence of the Republic and the liberties of the people, and perpetrated an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor."
Fein is a small-government conservative who worked on the impeachment of President Bill Clinton and also called for the impeachment of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, and his work doesn't represent the Republican Party line. But it comes as some Republicans on the Hill, led by Senator Rand Paul, object vociferously to Obama's decision to strike targets in Libya without Congressional authorization.

Could he be anymore tone-deaf? If you wanted to design a strategy that could most effectively alienate moderate and independent voters, impeach would be it.
That is too vague. They should push the war powers act violation and make a big deal of it. Trumpet how the rebels are backed by Terrorists.
Sounds like the guy likes the concept of impeachment.
This guy Bruce Fein is not too prominent. He was 2nd assistant something or other during the Reagan administration for about 5 minutes and has not done much since. People got sick of him calling himself a conservative, so I guess now he calls himself a libertarian. He used to try to get attention my making outlandish accusations against President Bush, but no one cared, so now he’s trying again with Obama.
I agree. Timing is everything and this isn't the time.
I guess we both better put on our nomex suits at this point.
He even once brought articles up against Big Bird. I think this gentleman is just a serial impeachist.
Impeachment? Hah!
They don’t even dare to ask Obumbles for his identity. (I wonder if his name is really BHO)
Impeachment misses the point, not to mention that I’m not convinced it’s valid for a usurper who doesn’t hold the position legally in the first place. The problem is not that we have an incompetent communist rookie in our White House (although I thank God that the fictional and dead voters chose an incompetent when they decided to experiment with totalitarian collectivism). The problem is that so many Americans actually thought this was a good idea. As destructive as Obama is, I think we need to give him four full years to fail - massively, spectacularly, and painfully. It would be a waste to go through several years of pure evil and learn nothing from the exceptionally grave damage that Obama, Pelosi, and Reid have inflicted on America. I want Obama to finish this term so that even the slow learners have an opportunity to see just how bad an idea socialism really is.
The sole issue should be whether Obama has done something worthy of impeachment. And by ordering U.S. military units to attack another nation without a Congressional declaration of war as per the Constitution, he has very clearly done so. He doesn't even have the bad excuse of doing so to protect American vital interests, blah, blah, blah.
This should be an open-shut case. If this country were still ruled by law, rather than polls and short-sighted self-interest.
I am 100% for the arrogant pos getting impeached. However I take anything from Politico with a grain of salt
