House Democrats will not pass a budget blueprint in 2010, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) will confirm in a speech on Tuesday.

But Hoyer will vow to crack down on government spending, saying Democrats will enforce spending limits that are lower than what President Barack Obama has called for.

That the weasel, Harry Reid, can get in front of the TV cameras this morning and blame the “ideological” Republicans for the budget fiasco when he and Pelosi and Obama should have taken care of this 2011 budget by October 1, 2010, is disgusting.

The media doesn’t bring up this salient fact, of course, giving the gullible the impression that this fight is about next year’s budget.

I was listening to Randi Rhodes a couple of days ago (yeah, I know. I sometimes tune in to see how long I can suffer through idiocy). Anyway, she's bitchin’ about the Republicans when a listener calls her and informs her that the Dems could have had any budget they wanted, but neglected to pass one last year. Well, she insulted and berated the caller. She didn't even KNOW that this was a fact. She goes to the break, and when she comes back, she has a guest on. A journalist, (I think he was from Forbes, but, don't quote me). Well, he had to inform her that, yes, in fact, the Democrats did not pass a budget. Then they spent the next few minutes trying to figure out ‘why in the world would the Democrats not pass a budget’. They had no clue. This is what passes for liberal intelligentsia.

I think that we should commend the Dems for accomplishing a no deficit evnironment.

If there is no budget then all spending is deficit free!!!

SARC OFF!

I think that is only fair that they receive a pay increase to $.01 per day! no sarc but for real. They should be paid what they're worth!

I say to the House of Reps.. stand firm..
Let the democrats twist in the wind..
The more they dither the more they appear to be ditherers..
The more they appear to be weak unable to make a decision..

I.e ..losing votes daily.. increasing TPCaucus members.. dare I say republican solidarity!!!..

Then they spent the next few minutes trying to figure out ‘why in the world would the Democrats not pass a budget’.

They knew they were losing in Nov and knew it was politically advantageous to not pass a budget so they could war and demogauge the new majority.

They won't care about the country, the worker, the children, the elderly. They care about politics.
