You are absolutely correct. He is a businessman, and his businesses are around the world, but mostly in NY, Chicago, etc. When he had the casinos, it was NJ.

You have no choice but to donate (business reasons) to democrats if you want to keep your business interests going. Not right, but that is the way it is.

Trump took out ads years ago in major newspapers warning America about the loss of jobs and economic activity due to NAFTA and other anti US policies. He does know what he is doing.

I say we give him the benefit of the doubt until we learn more about his ideas for this country. He might just surprise us....

Nobody will push the US around anymore if Trump is President I can guarantee that!

I just wonder if Trump is getting set up to be the “Ross Perot” of the next election.

You know I had that same nightmarish thought out of the blue this morning.

TRUMP can easily carry NY, NJ, and FL (due to all the retired N’yorkers there)

A Republican cannot esily win NY and NJ, two very rich electoral states. Just running under the Republican ticket would give you Texas automatically.

It would be extremely hard for Obama to win re-election without Texas, Fl, NY, and NJ.

I agree with you.

A lot of the conservatives here who believe in ideological purity from the minute you are born to the day you die must have never heard of Ronald Reagan, who was a Democrat until 1962. He went from a Kennedy Democrat to a Goldwater Republican in a few short years.

Or how about Frank Sinatra, who was a Democrat most of his early life, then became a hard core Republican in his later years.

The fact is Donald Trump is the only pro-American person running for president. Even the most conservative Republicans thinking of running are globalists, except maybe Herman Cain.

Radpolis, you know, I even forgot about that... excellent point.

Many hard core Conservatives were once Democrats... myself included. I changed fast after I became a business owner....

Trump is the only TRUE PRO AMERICAN candidate if he runs...

The primary season will tell us more about him...

I have looked at his political contributions and he has given far too much to Rats to make me comfortable. He says it was all just business, but when you give to politicians, especially Rat politicians, you expect something in return, usually corporate welfare.

Of course you expect something in return..... that is what American Business and Politics has come to...it may not be right, but that is the way it is.

The question is, Is Trump right for the time? I think he just might be?

Interesting!

Perot AND Trump are deal brokers.

Say what you want about Trump. He does seem to be one of very few pubbies who have the cajones to go face to face with the messiah. Romney, Gingrich, Pawlenty, Mitch don’t light too many fires. Maybe DeMint, Barbour, Palin or Bachmann. The country would be alot better off with a guy like Trump, than with the messiah and his band of thugs.

At least he has guts. I am so tired of namby pamby politicians who are afraid to confront the issues that this country is facing. He is calling it as he sees it and will crack heads if elected.

I am sick of nothing getting done, government growing out of control, my tax dollars going to public sector unions who elect Dems. ARRGGGH! We are losing our country day by day to illegals, the Chinese, and islamists. I am tired of one issue voters who would give us a wuss like Huckabee while he plays pansy foot with illegal kids and cop killers. GWB was loved by the social conservatives but as far as anything else he sucked.

Enough Freepers have fallen for Trump to make me think the poll results may be credible—and that he may be a real threat to the GOP, however fun his birther talk may be.

I think the underlying problem is clear, he isn't Sarah Palin. I think if he can prove his conservative credibility, he can somewhat overcome that. Until he has done that however, he's going to have to accept a certain amount of hesitation among conservatives. I think if it wasn't for her, he would be the clear front runner. One thing that I really like about him is that he draws support away from Romney who is, by far, the obvious RINO candidate IMO.

Bill Oreily: Does America have a Muslim problem?
Donald Trump:“Absolutely, absolutely — I don’t notice Swedish people knocking down the World Trade Center,”

That took cojones. LOL
