“This new technology helps protect patient information and taxpayer dollars,” says Tim Tindle, executive vice president and chief information officer, Harris County Hospital District. “It reduces the possibility of medical identity theft and helps ensure that patients are appropriately billed for the care they receive.”

No other agency or entity, such as law enforcement or immigration, can use the biometric information gathered by the Harris County Hospital District’s system. Additionally, the hospital district’s biometric information is not compatible with other healthcare institutions or healthcare systems...."

Unreal. That's just one hospital in one county. Extrapolate that out across America and it's no wonder so many of our health care assets are either going under or becoming exorbitantly expensive.

This 3rd world bum-rush will decimate our social systems - healthcare, education, welfare etc.

Sounds like what they said about social security numbers many years ago -- they were strictly limited and no other governmental or private organization could request or require them...

That biometric data will be handed over to every government agency you can name within 5 years. Within 10 years it will be part of your credit report.
