General David Petraeus on quran burning:
"Ambassador Sedwill and I have just released a statement on behalf of NATO and ISAF forces in Afganistan. In that statement we condemn the action of an individual in the United States who burned a holy quran. That action was hateful, it was intolerant and it was extremely disrespectful. And again, we condemn it in the strongest manner possible."
(I know there was a thread addressing the Wall Street Journal article about this, but i didn't see this video posted anywhere on that thread.)
(if video does not appear, refresh screen and you should see it)
Petraeus needs to be Cpurt-Martialed for treason and aiding the enemy
If Muslims kill people over some Christian preacher burning a book....the problem is with the Muslims.
Petraeus has taken the side of the Islamic Terrorists on this.
It will motivate the Islamic Terrorists more that a US General is kowtowing to Islamics...than any Christian in the US burning a Koran.
Condemn to your hearts content....we don’t GAS!
Dear islam,
You must accept other cultures. Multiculturalism is your friend. Deal with it.
Sincerely,
These United States of America
Bring ‘em home.
But the war criminal Obama won’t. The Democrats don’t want to fight this war, but don’t want to pay a political price for walking away.
But burning Bibles is OK?
Maybe his name really is General BetrayUs, after all.
no, it is just petraeus’ mug trying to look as seriously sincere as possible. (puke)
Jane Fonda Petraeus, giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
What political price? Who wants to occupy and rebuild countries that will remain Islamic and bent on Jihad? You relly believe there is political movement to achieve this end? The only people i see interested in this are the NWO types - Kissinger, CFR, TLC, BG - the western elite.
If someone burns or defaces a Bible will Patraeus condemn that in a nationwide media event?
I seriously doubt it.
If a Christian goes off and kills 10 people because the local museum is showing “Piss Christ”, are they going to blame the “artist”?
Dorothy Rabinowitz had a great editorial on this today in the WSJ:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703806304576244782887423062.html
There is likely more than one individual doing something to a Koran. What about throwing it in the trash?
From the WSJ:"Most Afghans learned about the Quran burning in Florida only when Mr. Karzai on March 24 (4 days after!) condemned the act as "a crime against the religion and the entire Muslim nation," called on the U.S. and the U.N. to bring the perpetrators to justice and demanded "a satisfactory response to the resentment and anger of over 1.5 billion Muslims around the world."
So who stirred it up? General Petraeus has certainly won Karzai's heart and mind. /s
You would think that having our female troops wear muslim hijabs instead of K-pots would have been enough to placate them.

Petraeus has gone native.
Speaking of NWO types..has anyone found the date of George H W Bush’s infamous New World Order speech just a little too coincedental for comfort? (September 11, 1990 - 11 years to The Date)
I used to be in the Army. My brother is in the Air Force and was in the Pentagon on 9/11/01. On 9/11/10 I observed the anniversary by stuffing a Koran full of bacon and letting my dog have at it.

Certainly it's disrespectful. Some things warrant disrespect.
Dear General Petraeus,
Last week, I ate pork chops for lunch, talked to a single woman who wasn’t my wife, drank a beer and wiped my ass with the wrong hand.
Since we’re now apologizing for doing anything that offends a RELIGION and not a particular PERSON, I thought these, too, might qualify, so please pass along my apologies to the Muzzies.
Thanks.
I don’t often get an occasion to say this, but stuff it General.
Bingo. Patreaus is well beyond his depth here. If he thinks an American exercising the right to free speech by burning a stupid book in any way endangers our troops he should retire, be fired or what ever.
Funny how I never hear the man condemn the killing of innocents—Christian or otherwise.
As a retired US Army officer, Petraeus—and all the US senior military so-caled leadership—embarrasses me.
Petraeus has no authority to condemn expressions of opinion by American civilians.
He needs to do his job and otherwise STFU.
Exactly, FU general P. Just do your job which is kill the enemy and break their stuff.
