10:28 p.m.-- BREAKING: House Speaker John Boehner outlined the parameters of a long-term funding deal, telling his members in a closed-door meeting, "This is the best deal we could get out of them," according to a lawmaker in the room who asked not to be identified.

Really - you have WAY to much faith in these idiots.
They are going to ruin our country - our children will have NOTHING left.
Meanwhile most of you continue to (for some reason) to believe these people have your best interest in mind.

The best deal they could get? They have the Constitutional authority to DICTATE what money will or won’t be spent, and there’s NOTHING the opposition could do about it!
Boehner -- no specifics.. just a brief statement about a bridge agreement and a later vote on the rest of the year. If 39-40 Billion is the best he could do, that's pathetically weak.

Yes he did, if you don’t care about the fiscal sanity of this Nation, and you think continuing to fund Obamacare is a good thing. And you think 39B in cuts out of a 3.6T budget will make a difference. Yes, he certainly did win. Congratulations.
And he would have vetoed this CR with it attached, I would guess. The only way to accomplish defunding Planned Parenthood is to remove its patrons from the Senate and White House in 2012.
I guess the Republicans in Washington enjoy all the abuse they get from Democrats and the news media. I’ve heard more stupid, dishonest, outrageous crap during the budget debate from the Democrats than I could even imagine.
If the Republican leadership enjoys taking abuse from the Democrats, I’m hear to tell them that I don’t, a a big chunk of the American public doesn’t, either.

Well Bachmann said she would not vote for anything that did not defund Obamacare. We’ll see. The Planned Parenthood angle was just a diversion because the actual health screenings for women were still covered just not by PP.
Boehner caving would not be a surprise to me. We just have to wait and see what they’ve done.

Boehner is in a tough position. The media would blame him for not paying the military. Hopefully, he is picking his battles. I know John Boehner as a representative (though I am from Ohio, he does NOT represent my district). He’s a good guy. The Freepers who want to pillory him because he doesn’t magically make Democrats act like Conservatives need to get a life. The more rational need to keep pressing for the changes we need. Boehner isn’t deaf to our voices. But, to hear some Freepers, I’m guessing they would rather have Pelosi.
