If burning the Muslim holy book is against the first amendment, then the same law should apply to all religious texts and books.

The right to burn a book is exactly equal to the right to write a book.

Terry Jones set a new standard for idiotic self aggrandizing street theater, but it wasn’t illegal...nor should it ever be.

ahhh - but burning our flag is a Constitutional Right - seems I remember THAT ruling.

I've lived too long. If it weren't for my worries for my kids and grandkids, I'd go back up to the north woods and dig in for the rest of my days - no TV, no newspapers, no news on my ‘puter.

I'm halfway there. I quit my satellite TV over 2 yrs ago - only have a few stations I get with an ancient, broken down antenna...but I forget to turn the TV on but maybe once or twice a month.

My house is snuggled down in the forest. I look out and see only woods, sky and natures creatures. But I'm still too close to what is euphemiously called ‘civilization.’

Not much civil about civilization these days. Tired of it all.

THIS, however, is protected.

You'll notice he wasn't brave enough to do it out in the open - but in a dingy alley. The place suits him. Wonder who the photographer was? Maybe his buddy 'in the neighborhood."
