This was not really about the money...it was about negotiating power.

Boehner came out looking like he very well have more of that, which portends well for Ryan's trillions in cuts ahead. That's why people are happy. We haven't won yet, but we're on the right track.

And I will remind everybody that there was no "cut" relative to the 2010 budget. The only thing cut was a small amount of money from Obama's failed budget proposal.

In fact, this deal increases the budget and the budget defict relative to the stimulus soaked 2010 budget.

Excellent point. All the huffing and puffing ended up negotiating nothing but a half week's reduction in our out of control spiraling debt. That accomplishes nothing. Even the Tea Party Republicans starting point - $100 billion - was only two weeks worth. Start talking about take a hatchet to entire federal agenices. Bring our troops home. Then we can talk.
