Democratic Female Senators Irate Over GOP Plan To Defund Planned Parenthood

Sean Lengell April 8, 2011

Nine Democratic female senators held a news conference Friday to slam Republicans for their insistence that funding for Planned Parenthood be stripped from a stopgap spending bill to keep the government running.

"These cuts are biased, politically motivated, they hurt women, and we the women in the Senate will not let it happen," said Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat. "What's at stake isn't the amount of cuts, it's the ability of American women — poor American women — to get health care service."

Added fellow California Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer: "To think that this government could shut down because there's a group of people over in the House — Republicans — who are so extreme that they would stop women's health programs is extraordinary."

"We are determined to draw a line in the sand," Mrs. Boxer added. "There are moments when you must do that, and this is one of those moments."

Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski, Maryland Democrat, called the Republicans' approach "a radical agenda against women."

"This has no impact on the budget; it has no impact on the deficit or the debt. " Ms. Mikulski said.

Sen. Patty Murray, Washington Democrat, called the GOP move to defund Planned Parenthood "offensive."

"We're not going to allow them to use women as pawns at the end of a critical debate when this country is waiting to move on," she said.

Mrs. Murray said 5 million women nationwide depend on health care programs that would be affected if the cuts went through.

The senators' downplayed Planned Parenthood's role as the nation's biggest abortion provider, focusing instead on the group's role in providing preventative health care — including cancer screening, diabetic management and birth control.

You know, as anti-abortion as I am, I still can’t help believing that some peoples’ mommies made the wrong “choice”......

Someday they will have to answer for their choices, and God will have the last word. I think of Bela Pelosi with ashes on her forehead and I want to retch! What meager celebrity they have here on earth will mean nothing in their final hours. Baby killers one and all.

Today any poor American, woman or man, can get health care. Medicaid is one example of a program to ensure coverage for the poor. This is about abortion, not health care cuts.

They’re the worst form of hypocrites, divisive and unfit for office. It’s laughable that they try to speak for “women”

My mother was 1000x more of a real woman then these idiots combined, and she sure knew they didn’t speak for her. In fact, she couldn’t stand them either.

I heard their numbers today, where only three percent of Planned Parenthood’s business is abortions. If that were true, any smart business would dump the three percent (quit abortions) and take the government money.
Problem is they only get the money because they kill babies.

To understand PP you have to understand it founder, Margaret Sanger. A lesbian that though woman should be more than vessels for life, that inferior people should be eliminated, and worked with the Nazis to develop sterilization clinics in Germany that lead to the Gas Chambers. The language and philosophy of PP is the same as the Nazis, and why the USA is supporting it. Remember Reproductive choice was made just prior to conception, and the physical and psychological harm to a woman lasts a lifetime. .

Not if you go to:

LiveAction.Org -- Lila Rose's website

Planned Parenthood Child Sex Trafficking sting

Planned Parenthood Statutory Rape sting

Planned Parenthood does not offer Mammograms...

Check out just that website...

Top 12 reasons to defund Planned Parenthood now...

After going there, there is:

Washington Times article on (Freerepublic.com thread):

Planned Parenthood’s millions still missing

Then there is article, which originally appeared in The Hill (from LifeSiteNews.com but a FreeRepublic.com thread):

Exposing the Planned Parenthood business model

In this article, former Planned Parenthood director states that 98% of Planned Parenthood funds are pooled into a slush fund to pay for abortions. That would include Title X funds.

The Washington Times article states that the GAO has found $1.3 billion in tax money missing in an audit of Planned Parenthood

Just get this information out, and Planned Parenthood and some liberal Senators gooses are cooked...

Not only is it taxpayer funded baby-killing it is also taxpayer funded campaign contributions to these phony self-righteous Democrat politicians. The campaign contributions come from the same money they get the grant money: our taxes. Our tax money is being used to encourage the politicians to continue funding their baby-killing. It is a two-way street. The politicians give out the grant money to encourage the campaign contributions.

In this article, former Planned Parenthood director states that 98% of Planned Parenthood funds are pooled into a slush fund to pay for abortions. That would include Title X funds.

Granted most abortions should not be happening, my own preference would have been to go after the dept. of education and other high value targets.

Frankly the abortion issue scares me. It's the one issue the rats get any real traction on with ordinary voters and they clearly see it as a winning issue for themselves as evinced by their loud defense of PP. I'm aware that abortion is a winning issue for Republicans in a few places like South Dakota; nonetheless I believe Virginia draws a bit more water than South Dakota does in national elections and in forty years of involvement in Virginia politics, all I've ever seen the abortion issue do is get good candidates for public office defeated by vermin. Recent email and mail flyers I've gotten from demokkkrat candidates for various offices have featured "abortion rights" as if no other issues existed.

I mean, it may still be a good idea to get rid of PP, but the issue has to be SOLD to the public, and not crammed down their throats the way demokkkrats do politics. Moreover if that other two percent of whatever they were doing was of any real use to anybody, we need to make certain there is no way we get blamed for it going away.

Title X tax money is only supposed to go to Family Planning, not mammograms, and especially not for abortions.

That is tax fraud. If a government contractor was guilty of defrauding the government, wouldn't you could off their funds.

Example, Defense Contractor OBX uses money for US Navy project to play golf and write computer simulations for playing golf.

[OBX was used as a play on obama, since he is a golfer].

Strongly agree.

If you search my posts, you will find a number of good links to email to friends.

One of the best sites right now is LiveAction.Org, and there is a problem with that site that I believe is a hack... Got to get on that...
