Donald Trump is a shameless self-promoter. His prowess as a developer and businessman has been greatly exaggerated. He has crawled around in the muck and mire of what now passes for popular culture, and deserves at least some of the blame for tawdry's victory over grace in that sphere. He is an outsized egotist (about on a par with Obama) whose passion for self-congratulation is the only reliable thing we know about him. And that his future candidacy for president may soon be taken seriously owes to no one so much as it does Barack Obama, whose own candidacy seriously eroded the standards for presidential qualification.

Bingo - The media’s curiosity about the background of those running for national office seemed to know no bounds when it came to George W. Bush’s service in the Texas Air National Guard or the sexual behavior of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s daughter. But during and since the 2008 campaign a virtual wall of silence has been constructed around Obama.
Someone posted on an earlier thread that this may all be The Donald’s egotistical attempt of making a permanenet name for himself in American history by being the person who brought down a fraudulent and illegal administration.
I can see some sense in that given The Donald’s ego. But I suspect that somewhere in the past The One did something to personally injure or offend The Donald’s interests because this seems personal (remember Ross Perot had a massive axe to grind with Bush 41 because he wouldn;t allow him to travel overseas to negotiate for POWs/MIAs which really hirt Ross’s tender ego).

Ridiculous. It is a "testament" to Obama's "penchant" for not wanting to be exposed. Virtually no one wants secrecy just for the sake of secrecy. Secrecy is almost never an end in itself. At this point only a complete fool would accept as a given that Obama was even born in the U.S.
The media went absolutely insane over Bush's National Guard records, yet they defend the Pretender in Chief who refuses to show any information about his birth, schooling etc.
Who cares what The Donald’s reasons for doing this are, at least someone is showing some strength & willing to take this on.
That works for me. I'm all for bringing down the fraudulant administration and whoever does that RATES a permanent place in history.

It seems as the weeks go on that Trump is getting up to speed on the information he is getting and getting educated.

So what purpose does it serve to spend the first paragraph attacking Trump? Spending lots of time looking for the perfect candidate is insane. Trump appears to know how to manage people and projects. He appears to know how to cut through the BS and get to the issue. He’s lived close to the edge in the past with respect to over-extending himself but has come back and his personal life isn’t something to point to with pride. But he does get things done.
