Ya suppose the Pope knows?

I would think that the Pope is aware that there is a problem with Catholic universities in the U.S.; but whether he is aware of the connection to the abortion factory that is Planned Parenthood, I don't know. The Catholic Church is a worldwide church with a lot of universities.

I would hope, though, that this information would trigger a review of those universities.

The problem is that most Catholic universities are LITERALLY Catholic in name only. They maybe hire a single figure-head priest; the vast majority of their boards of trustees and professors are agnostics, Protestants or merely nominal Catholics. The archdiocese of New York has tried “excommunicating” several colleges, but they still go on claiming to “educate in the Catholic tradition,” which most people understand to mean that they are Catholic.
