Sadly, if push came to shove, Rush would vote for Trump.

"VAN SUSTEREN: Do you agree with Rush Limbaugh that the GOP caved?

TRUMP: Well, I'm a fan of Rush. I like Rush a lot. I think it's step-by-step. Certainly they probably wanted a little more, but if you look at the pundits, they're all saying that Obama lost big and the Democrats lost big. But I think it's a step-by-step issue, and next year will really be telling.

Why can't Trump answer the question directly?

RUSH: Okay, gonna try to get Trump on one day this week. We should be able to do that. Actually, you know, I think Trump might actually be the real illegal alien here. I mean, you say what you will, but he is once again actually doing a job that most Americans wouldn't touch. He fits the bill in that regard.

HA - ha!

I don’t know. Maybe, at first. But now, I think he sees he has a real chance of winning. I think he would throw Hillary overboard, if he believes he can win it.

Any way, I never thought I would say this, but even the shrill witch would be better than the die cast Muslim loving marxist Obama (or, whatever his name really is).

Are you saying Trump will run as an independent?

Reminds me of the time I was sitting in on meetings with CEOs. Direct questions rarely get answered until the lawyers have scripted the contract.

Okay, why are we even entertaining this fool, he is and has always been a Democrat, donated to Democrats and back Hillary’s Carpetbagging of New York’s Senate Seat.

He knows full well Obama is toast and Hillary is stalking the White House, his efforts are two fold, cripple Obama so he does not run for reelection and draw off enough Conservative with his phony independent run.

With all due respect TBM, why would Trump not run as a Republican?

Isn’t he just saying the budget was a compromise, both sides got some of what they wanted? Happens in business all the time.

But he has his priorities straight, which as I read it, are;

(1) make sure Obama does NOT get re-elected (thus the “independent” threat - code for if Romney wins the nomination, Trump will go it alone to stop Obama)

(2) fix the economy / national finances, which urgently need WH leadership and aren’t currently getting it.

On these,we are all in agreement.

He could divide the Republican vote, but it still shouldn’t make people attack him for his stace on the birth certificate.

Other than Herman Cain, no one has officially announced.

I can tell you this. I won't be voting for any liberals -— Democrat or Republican. That means right off the bat Romney, Giuliani, Trump and Obama are off the table and are not an option for this conservative.

If you really want to know who I'll be voting for, follow my posts, mister smartass.

If he didn’t win the Republican nomination, then I don’t think he would be much of a player as an independent. The game is too important this time.

He probably should run with Hillary as the Democrat ticket to knock out Obama in the primary. That might be a formidable ticket vs. any Republican ticket we can put together.

During the primary, he could take away votes from Palin.
