CONCORD, N.H -- A day after former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney took a big step in his presidential bid by forming an exploratory committee, New Hampshire Democrats wasted little time in going after the Republican.
Democrats took a tongue-in-cheek approach to mark the five-year anniversary of Romney's health care plan in Massachusetts, regarded by many as the template for the new federal health care law.
"It also provided the critical momentum necessary to get President Obama's vision of health care reform through Congress and signed into law," said Democratic Party Chairman Ray Buckley.
Romney's camp called the move a juvenile stunt that it believes demonstrates the Democrats' fear of Romney come Election Day.
ABC News political director Amy Walter said it's a topic Romney better get used to.
"It is the issue that Mitt Romney's campaign has to figure out how to deal with," she said. "His campaign firmly believes the issues are economy and jobs, and he's going to focus on the economy and jobs."

“Democrats Thank Romney On Health Care Law Anniversary”
Too easy, LOL Rino Romney has no answer to this.
(good to “see” ya out and about)
Ironically, the video is somewhat exculpatory to the extent it is somewhat consistent with his 10th Amendment explanation. The leg tickler asks him if he thinks it would work nationally and he said it was designed for MA but some parts would work nationally, etc., etc.
I don’t particularly like Romney, but if this is the best the left can do, Romney can make a whole video montage about Obama from Gitmo to Libya to extending the Bush Tax Cuts to his vote against raising the debt ceiling as senator.
Yeah, I saw the headline and had to post it.
That’s very true.
I think he still claims it would work if “done his way”, instead of the changes that made it “bad”
Geez.
The Dem's are shakin' alright. They know GOP Romney nomination would be Obama's second term Presidency insurance. The DNC people are wringing their hands sore. (Sarc.)
Maybe he'll get a last minute endorsement of some homosexual group that was so thrilled with his support when he was governor.
Isn't he a charmer? Just what the dummycrats ordered . . . shades of Dole and McLame
First, Romney must repudiate his Massachusetts law. He can do that by promising to sign the repeal, impounding all regs via Executive Order, and appointing Cuccinelli as AG or Secretary of HHS.
A Romney-Rubio ticket would be very formidable. Romney can play in Blue states, including PA, MI, WI, NJ and all of New England. He might not win them all, but he will cost the RATS a fortune in defending them.
Romney also has the organization, the money, and telegenicity to destroy Obama in debates. (McCain not only mumbled, he couldn’t even string three coherent sentences together). Let’s not forget who delivered McCain the nomination: Charlie Crist.
Most significantly, Romney has NEVER worked in DC so like Reagan, Romney can run against Washington.
Whether freepers like it or not, we must nominate someone who will unify all factions of the party AND appeal to independents. Romney or Pawlenty fill that bill. Christie, too, if he would get in.
Mitt can do Socialism better!
You're so funny. Thanks.
Milt Romney - the Magic RINO:
"I'm not running as the Republican view
or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.
(Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn't make any sense at all.""
-- President Ronald Reagan

And a significant number of the birthers would tell you that neither is a "natural born citizen" and, thus, ineligible.
Yeah, I kinda think Rush Limbaugh’s axiom might apply here: if the Democrat party is trying to make someone look bad, then there is a reason...and it is probably because they’re scared of them.
I’m not saying, I’m just saying.
