Close to a break even for me- traded in the beloved but gas guzzling Jeep for a four-banger Ford Escape.

Same here although I'd like to unload a 1994 Ford Exploder, it has other issues, so I can buy a 1985 Old Cutlass Ciera with the 2.5L Iron Duke four cylinder that gets 20 MPG highway. Not bad for 1985 or now. It was driven by my friend's grandfather until he was 103. I'm of limited means so it would be easier to fix and on parts too.

Mske that 30 MPG for the Olds, I needed a lighted keyboard for the dark. B-) Plus I hate to have airbags in my cars, call me paranoid, but.
