If the rich are taxed more, they have less to give to charity. If they give less to charity, people who need or use that charity will be in greater need. Thus they will most likely look to the government for more since they aren’t getting it elsewhere. Thus it all plays into the democrat’s plan to make more people more dependent on the government thus increasing their voting block.
I have a question for anyone who might know. My brother said that the Obamacare bill has a provision in it that in 2014, if you sell your home, you have to pay a 20% tax on the proceeds. Is this true? And if it is “defunded” not repealed, will that still happen?
It’s a simple approach that will work. The GOP House passes a separate funding bill for each federal department for fiscal 2011-12. If they so choose, they can fund the miliary at 100% of it’s current level. They can also choose to slash other departments and/or direct those departments to limit their spending on specified programs. This way it’s up or down on each spending bill and Obama can’t hold the military budget hostage in order to trade off cuts in the other departments. Let the Dem Senate and/or Obama explain why the defeated/vetoed a stand-alone Defence appropriations bill, and why they won’t approve cuts in these other bills. Make it clear that is the Dems who are shutting down government because the Dems won’t accept reasonable spending restraints. Putting everything in an omnibus spending bill lets the Dems hijack the debate.
