(Reuters) - President Barack Obama will set a goal of reducing the U.S. deficit by $4 trillion in the next 12 years or less in a speech Wednesday, a congressional source said.
His plan would curb the U.S. deficit to 2.5 percent of GDP in 2015, and by 2 percent toward the end of the decade, the source said.

Also, watch for the traditional Washington ludicrous revenue projections that they base their budgets on. Like a 50% growth in the economy every year for the next 50 years.
- Look for weasely worded tax hikes; like the mortgage deduction is really government "spending." The ceiling on SS contributions is "spending." I can almost hear him: "By eliminating this wasteful spending on mortgage deductions, we will reduce the deficit by a gozillion dollars by 2020."
- It really worked out well the last time a Dem ran for President on a platform of raising taxes..

In 2006, he claimed raising the debt ceiling was a failure of leadership and voted against it. Now he's calling his vote a mistake.
His deficits are phenomenal in size, equalling in a single month deficits Bush took an entire year to amass.
Economic growth is down, forecasted at 2.8%.
Even officially, unemployment is over 9%.
Gas prices are over $4/gal.

If you notice the word used is “deficit”. Not debt. He plans to “trim the deficit” by raising taxes.
If the GOP goes along with this becaue they’re afraid to shut down the government, it’s only a matter of time before we’re bankrupt and all of our taxes will be going to China. In fact, we may have to sign all of our interstate highways over to China and let them charge us tolls just to pay the interest.
In order to accomplish this, it will be necessary to behead Donald Trump and confiscate all of his assets, but, since it's for the children....

Obama will propose cuts, drastic ones, to our vital defense and precious military.
It has nothing to do with money, of course. This (if my hunch is right) is Obama's big opening to use budget cuts to justify weakening our defense, and to prove that he will always be BFFs with Bill Ayers!
