mnehring's assertion is false. I recall at least two interviews that Trump did on Hannity's radio toward the end of GWB's second term. He was pretty conservative in the interviews and the distinct impression was that while Trump was by no means a great conservative in the Barry Goldwater mould, Trump was a conservative that had fallen off the reservation over opposition to the Iraq War. I distinctly remember the interviews as I had wondered about Trump's leanings for many years and the Hannity interview was the first time I knew of that he outed himself.
I have no desire to support the guy in the primaries. But outright lies about him should be questioned and called out.
I agree. I saw and heard some of them too.
But remember the GOP establishment said the same thing about Reagan.
“He’s a former democrat!”
“He’s pro union”
“He must be a liberal because he’s divorced”
“He was president of the union”
So what exactly is conservative about the issues highlighted in post #75?
Pro-choice conservative?
Supporting the Assault Weapon ban conservative?
Supporting the UN conservative?
Supporting progressive tax code conservative?
Being financially tied to Soros and Dems conservative?
Supporting and benefiting from eminent domain seizures conservative?
Ever read his book “The America We Deserve”? It reads just like a handbook for Clinton’s “Third Way” PAC.
Looks like we have another one who is swooning because Trump Bieber winked at him.
