What do you think happened here? Did the Mexicans pile on a bunch of amateurs to do what should be highly-skilled work?
To: Fractal Trader
The question: “What do you think happened here?”

I’m all for it but only if those doing it actually know what they are doing. Does anyone know what they are doing? Doesn’t seem like it. Let them drill but hang both the corporate CEO and the manager of the drilling rig on the short end of a long rope if they screw up as BP did. They apparently need some incentive to do it right.

Actually, we are drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
And not only are we drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, but the majority of the drilling in the world today is happening in the USA.

Well you know how those Mexicans pack into cars to get across our border. So I guess they figured that rig would float right onto the shore in Texas and they’d get a free ride to here. They didnt count on the SOB sinking though.
I dunno..
