“Hitchens is just projecting his stuff on America — like the libbies always do.”

Spot on!

This jewel of his describes what has allowed the cancer that is called Islam to metastasize throughout Hitchens’ original nation:
“Broadness of mind, curiosity, willingness to accept strangers, allowing them to become citizens really quite easily, assimilate to their arrival.”

Note carefully Hitchens crafted the last part of that sentence - “assimilate to their arrival.”

The Brits did that, and look at Londinistan.

The Swedes did that and look at Malmo.

The French did that, and just now awakened sufficiently to ban Moslim attire covering the face.

America WILL be forced, by the Moslims themselves, to play Cowboys & Moslims.

America doesn’t do submission at all, and Islam means ‘submission’. We are citizens, Europeans are subjects. Hitchens is babbling proof thereof.

"assimilate to their arrival"

Good catch. He's mistaken of course.

"People talking in what I would once I suppose described as . . . curmudgeonly . . . [']The country is filling up with riff-raff, the country is going to the dogs, the President doesn’t seem to be sixteen anas to the rupee, he might even be a Kenyan.['] Petty, spiteful stuff of that kind and coming from some quite senior people."

Considering who Hitch's friends and acquaintances are those comments are very interesting.
