Legislation (SB 1094) that would ban the possession of any magazine (rifle, pistol or shotgun) capable of holding more than 10 rounds will be voted on in the Joint Committee on Judiciary this month.
If this bill passes, law-abiding gun owners will have to begin surrendering their magazines by July, or face confiscation by the state police and a felony charge. Again, this proposal would not only ban the sale of these magazines, but would make simple possession a felony. Any gun owner (including off-duty police officers) found in possession of any magazine capable of holding more than 10 rounds will be in violation of this proposed law, regardless of whether it was legally purchased...

SB1094 should be vociferously opposed from the podium tomorrow in Hartford.
Not having enough fire power limits my ability to defend the constitution from enemies foriegn and domestic!
I refuse to abide by or convict, (if on a jury), anyone brought up on any firearms law charges.

Whoever votes for this POS bill needs to have a personal visit by a CT “Henry Bowman” type.
No idea, but enforcement of it could ignite the next “shot heard round the world.”
That SOB Florio did it in NJ in the early '90s, and he basically blackmailed a bunch of legislators to get it through...though the NJ limit is 15 rounds (some legislator had a favorite gun with a 14-round mag - yes, really).
Of course, that didn't stop me from visiting gun shows in PA and NYS to get normal capacity mags, or mail-ordering others (for delivery to my job in NYC, no less). As I said to my wife when we finally crossed the border into Delaware from the PDRNJ on the way to Texas about 10 years ago, I had about "200 years worth in Rahway Prison" sitting 18 inches behind my rear end. Oh, and I have more now, and will never give them up.
People in CT need to vote with their feet and dollars if this crap passes, and they need to let those state senators know this NOW.
