The House of Representatives on Thursday passed a long-awaited budget funding the government for the rest of the fiscal year, though dozens of lawmakers on both sides of the aisle voted against the compromise proposal.
The final vote was 260-167, with 59 Republicans opposing the package -- one House Speaker John Boehner had touted as the best deal he could get out of spending cut-averse Democrats. The bill now heads to the Senate side where it is expected to pass. Final passage would end, for the time being, the recurring concerns about a government shutdown which have loomed over Washington as it limped from one stopgap budget to another for the better part of the year.

THe GOP may be heading in to oblivion. I think the natives are restless and not willing to play the same role the Blacks play for the Rats.
Meet the Democrats, worse than ever.
how nice to have passed a budget for the democrats who were supposed to pass one in october 2010. same results pretty much anyway, either way. $38bln. pssshhhhha
Alan West: Boehner Needs to Come to Jesus on the Budget. Votes ‘No’ Against the Measure.

The House will vote on the BoehnerWhite House spending deal this afternoon. Outside of the chamber, Republicans predict that the measure will pass, though numerous defections are expected, according to aides. One tells us that some members will likely watch the clock, waiting until Republicans hit 218, and then vote nay.
As the vote nears, Tea Party heroes within conference are spoiling for a last-minute rumble. Rep. Allen West (R., Fla.) tells reporters that House GOP leaders bungled the deal. My leadership needs to sit down and have a come to Jesus with [each other], he says. Character and integrity are important things with me. I like people to be upfront with me. Surprises are for birthdays. When you wake up, and all of sudden you look at the National Journal, and they say that it is really only $352 million in cuts, I dont like that.
West says the deal has led him to question the leaderships early spin. In the military they teach you that the first report is always kind of incorrect, he says. You have to go back and do your studying, you have to do your research and let the smoke dissipate.
West, of course, will be voting against the measure.
Yes, but not essentially worse than the GOP on fiscal matters and the power and reach of government.
Who are the 59 pubbies who voted no? They need thank you letters!
son neither side wants real cuts. this cut money off O’s wish list thats alll...nothing more
So boner and his democrat friends passed the great american con.

May God give us the strength the rest of the bums out.

His victory speech can be summed as follows: "We're all Democrats Now"!
Oh my gosh!!! Kingston voted NO! Thank you Jack!!!
He USED to be great, but lately was following the lead of the party elite. Welcome home prodigal son!
It’s not the best deal a leader could get from the socialists, just the best deal Boehner could get. Pathetic. The correct answer was to fund a week at a time for a declining share of the bloated 2010 funding, until the end of the year . . . to wean the parasites off big government and set a new baseline from which to start negotiating further cuts in 2011-2012.
I am not so sure about that. We would have seen more massive new spending under continued Democrat rule. Our side is not performing well, but we aren’t tacking on trillions in new spending like the last couple years.
Worse, they raised false hopes with their lies and it turns out they are just the flip side of the Dems. Without new Republican leadership, the Dems will continue to control both branches of Congress and the White house.
lets see them run on $353 MILLION that it actually was
Col. West is the only one out there that really excites me; but of course, he is not running. The budget cuts should be $300 billion at a minimum.
Which of the 59 waited until it reached 218 before they voted “no”? Do they get a “thank you” letter?
ALL: If we keep voting for republicans we’ll keep getting “republicans”. And that’s working out about as good as that “hope and change” thing.
