Recount clock to begin ticking in WI court race-Milw hasn't reported yet but has plans for recount

MADISON, Wis (Reuters) - Officials in Wisconsin's largest county said on Thursday they would meet the deadline for finishing their review of the local vote in last week's state Supreme Court race, an election widely seen as a referendum on Republican efforts to curb public sector unions.

The end of the county reviews would set the stage for either candidate in the closely watched contest to demand a recount

Milwaukee County hasn't certified their votes yet but they're already planning the recount and they already have the venue set up for the recount.

Tons of fraud being reported already. Plus the elections board tol the Milwaukee police dept to “stand down” when they were supposed to watch the “locked up” ballots.

So, let me get this straight. A 200+ vote margin is enough for the Dem to give her victory speech but a 7,000+ vote margin is grounds for a recount??? DON’T LET THE DEMS STEAL THIS ONE WISCONSIN!

Can you give specifics? Not that I doubt it, but was wondering what other "irregularities" came to light.

I head a local radio report today (Charlie Sykes show) and the ONLY republican on the election board(?) - I think that’s what it’s called - said that he asked the city police to guard the ballots which are stored in a warehouse. The rest of the panel went nuts and told the cops to go away. Fortunately the county cops thought it was important enough to guard the votes.

Not a recount; just the initial vote canvas (count verification) and certification. They're just a little late in reporting the results of last week's election, for some reason.

Nothing's been "recounted" yet.

All bets down. There will be found 10,000 votes that were misplaced; 9,000 will be for the Democrat and 1,000 write in ballots for various named individuals. Prosser will receive two.

Hmmm...sounds suspicious.

I’m from the State of Washington. King County, where Seattle is located, always does this in order to manufacture Democratic votes. Fraud here has been ongoing for quite some time.

Tomorrow is the deadline for reporting the canvassed results. Most counties reported within a day, all (except Milwaukee County) within days, Milw. Co. being the one exception. I heard that the City of Milwaukee vote had been reported a few days back, therefore only the unreported outliers are susceptible.

The lead is pretty much insurmountable. The whole effort now is to keep the troops salivating until the upcoming recall elections and on to 2012.

I heard a report that Dave Clark stepped in right after that. The ballots were locked in a warehouse with minimal security and the Milwaukee police were told to go away by the county election board but the sheriff dept stepped in.

Most populous county; not largest in area; that would be Marathon.
Also, Milwaukee very liberal, which made it amazing, to me, that conservative Walker (now Governor) was twice elected County Executive.

There has not been a request for a recount but Milwaukee County has already prepared for one, including renting the space, before they have even reported their vote count.

It will be a referendum on the GOP only if the conservative loses. Otherwise it will just be another stolen election.

The Dems cried “foul” when the county reporting the 7,500 votes last week were turned in only two days after the election. Yet, Milwaukee County hasn’t reported over a week after the election.

I’m not too sure about that, the sheriff’s department in the county stepped in and said, we’re protecting the ballots. Those ballets have been protected since day one. Hopefully, we’ve got our act together and can beat the libs on this issue. They are throwing the kitchen sink at this state, and we keep winning.

We’ll see, the mo of the libs is to drag everything out. Eventually, they’ll lose, but it’s as annoying as hell what’s been going on here.

Good news, there’s a Tea Party in Madison on Saturday, Sarah Palin is coming. It should be a great event!

David Clarke, the county sheriff, runs as a dem. He’s black. But he’s as conservative as many of us. He has to have the “D” after his name for the idiots who vote. He’s been an up front and law and order guy. Party doesn’t matter to him, doing the right thing is his mission.

He’s a treasure.

Good grief, I have been out of town and haven’t heard about all this with the police dept and election board.

I don’t seem to be able to pull up an article on FR regarding this, maybe I’m not searching the correct keywords. If anybody has a link to the sheriff guarding the votes because the donks told the police dept not to story, would you please post it here or ping me to it?

Thank you!

The problem is that to erase that 7,000 vote lead, you’re going to have to manufacture a whole lot more votes than just 7,000 to look legitimate. No one will believe 100% of voters in any precinct voted for Kloppy.

If Kloppy say won Milwaukee county 2-to-1, you’d have to manufacture 21,000 votes, 14K for Kloppy and 7K for Prosser to keep the numbers in line. If Kloppy won 5-to-4, you’d have to manufacture 63,000 votes. The narrower the spread, the more votes to print.

Unofficially 227,000 votes were cast in Milwaukee county. Kloppy got 57%, Prosser got 43%. It’s about 13-to-10, you’d have to print 50K votes at the same ratio to generate 7K votes for Kloppy - meaning the votes cast would increase by 22%.

I don’t think they can pull that off.

I’m saying this with my tin foil hat on but the fact that they refused to have the ballots guarded, have still not finished their tally and have already rented room for a recount makes me think that their aim might be a total revote in Milwaukee.
