Is this the same Congressional Budget Office, owned by the democrats, that gave Obama the numbers he wanted about ObamaCare? Didn’t they say that adding 50 million people to health coverage would actually save money and not raise the budget?
Is the same democrat owned CBO?
I suspect they’re trying to save Obama’s ass by reporting numbers in his favor to calm his base. After all, that’s what they do.

There once was a man who sent away for a mail order bride. He picked her up at the train station and proceeded to take her home to his farm - all without saying a word. Well, they get about a mile down the road and the mule up and steps dead in the road. The farmer stood up and cried out:”That’s one”; snapped the whip and got the mule going.
Well, after about another mile, the mule ups and quits again. The farmer, now agitated, shouts: “That’s two.” Well, after getting the mule going again, he quits after a mile. The famer stands up in the buckboard, pulls his shotgun and shoots the mule dead. To which the prospective bride says to the farmer: “Why’d you do that?”

Pay no attention to the fact that we funded abortions through planned parenthood, funded left wing propoganda at NPR, increased the budgets of the SEC and CFTC by over $100 million so that they can continue being incompetant and fully implement the Dem loving policies of Dodd Frank, and ........

It’s time to face reality on the budget. It is treated like a “guideline”. Does anyone think they have a set amount of money for medicaid, foodstamps, welfare, or social security disability? No. They spend the money as it is requested to honor the obligations.
The Dept of Defense has a set budget to start the fiscal year but they often seek additional or special funding for combat operations. The DOD did not anticipate the Libya conflict so they often eat the initial expense up front with the idea that they will cover it in next years budget or a special appropriation that was not budgeted.
Our government is a wreck. They function as a crack addict with no little self-control and I don’t believe any hard numbers they throw out to the media. It’s bullcrap because they don’t know how much they will spend and when agencies run out of money they often just hold their hand out again to D.C. to get more. That is the way government works.
Anyone that thought the 38 billion in savings truly existed has not been paying attention to our government. It’s a sham. NOBODY knows how much they will spend but it is guaranteed they will spend more than the budget.
They will put the hard choices on our children and grandchildren.
