Trump lashes out at George W. Bush and Obama By: CNN Political Producer Shannon Travis

Palm Beach, Florida (CNN) – Donald Trump has more harsh criticism for one of the most recognizable men in the world: George W. Bush.

In a display of bipartisan bashing, Trump lashed out at the nation's 43rd president as he criticized the 44th.

"George Bush gave us Barack Obama. If it weren't for George Bush, we wouldn't have Barack Obama," Trump said on Friday. "So I'm not thrilled with George Bush."

The billionaire real estate mogul made the comments at his famed Palm Beach estate Mar-a-Lago that sits on 20 acres and boasts 126 rooms. The star of NBC's "The Apprentice" spoke to reporters in a hastily arranged news conference moments before a posh, poolside party at the estate and hours before he was to speak at a Tea Party rally.

Trump was pressed to explain his comments.

"Because he[Bush] didn't have a great presidency, especially at the end. And because of his actions, and because of his aura, it was very tough for a Republican to win," Trump said. "And in all fairness to John McCain and to Sarah Palin, I think it would have been very, very tough for anybody – for Abraham Lincoln – to win after having followed George Bush."

Wrong Donnie-poo. Put the dunce hat back on and go sit in the corner.

Photobucket

The blindness to truth and reality and the collective mental illness (hence BDS) of the left, along with flagrant racism from blacks and white guilt from hand wringing liberals gave us Obama-lama-ding-dong.

You’re right. The MSN, along with Oprah, gift wrapped Hussein Obama and placed him into our laps.

Bush did one thing great protect the US.

I don't know why he never let the Military win quickly in Iraq and Afghanistan

Bush allowed Wall Street go wild with no SEC over-site

Bush protected his brother in Florida or we would be drilling in shallow waters off Florida's coast.

Have to agree. Bush (thanks to Karl Rove) never fought back against the attacks. And became an easy target. He was an isolated prez for his last 2 years basically.

And Bush and Rove also gave us Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the biggest Dim majorities in Congress they'd enjoyed for several decades.

Bush spent his second term insulting the conservative base with Harriet Meirs and his two big amnesty pushes in 2006 and 2007. The Republican party went from one of its strongest positions ever after the election of 2004 to one of its weakest positions ever after the election of 2008. - And W was definitely horrible at defending himself and his foreign policies.

Lots of convenient memory lapses on this thread by those who want to trash Trump.

In a sense I think he's right.

Now, I was one of the few loyalists who strongly approved of W. the entire time he was in office.

I think his major failing was trying to reach across the aisle one too many times to anti-American contemptible Democrats (and I put Eddy Kennedy right at the top of the list, may he burn in hell).

There was a time he needed to speak the unvarnished truth about Democrats. It's not as if the MSM would have been any more biased against him.

The jury is out on Trump but I admire his tendency to speak BS-free opinion.

If he goes after Mitt Romney too, he might start to get a little support around here....

That is my biggest complaint of GW, he never ever fought back. From the liberals attacking him after 9/11 to the WMD thing in Iraq. He just let them continue. That was my biggest complaint.

I voted for Dubya twice and by the last term I was furious with him. He did give us Obama lets just admit it. Bush had his good traits but he was a global elitist just like Daddy. We can all thank him for the mess on the border we now have to deal with and my personal favorite Nazi facist govt agency The Dept of Homeland Security and TSA. I view that one dept as the single most serious threat to our personal freedoms right now. The Patriot Act is another atrocity created thanks to Bush. You notice the Democrats are happy to keep both of these control mechanisms in place. So I’m with Donald on some of this stuff.

If people actually read what he says instead of giving a knee-jerk response. It’s easy to disagree but it’s also quite difficult to refute.

It’s quite sad how so many around here don’t know when to strike or where to strike. But just lash out in unreasonable manners.

The fact that Bush never fought back was a trend setter . He and rove let folks like us and talk radio carry his water . Well that explains Rove’s Trump hissy fit on Fox. The Donald is holding a mirror up to the group of second raters that may or may not run in 12 . At least he is speaking up and taking it to Princess O . Watching the Pubs stand by while they are vilified by the loony left is now the rule. The posers are in deep hiding while the war rages on . Good luck with that .

Also, he began the bail-out bonanzas for big business. Open-checkbook George never met many spending bills he didn't like.

“”George Bush gave us Barack Obama. If it weren’t for George Bush, we wouldn’t have Barack Obama,” “

-

Is Trump a FReeper?

How many times have I heard (exactly) that sentiment expressed on these pages?

Imagine how thrilled he would have been with Gore or Kerry.

Trump has said that he wanted Kerry to win.

trump is less a loose cannon as he is a nail-bomb inflicting damage indiscriminately to all around him. I appreciate it when he trashes Øbozo but recognize that he holds few values in common with conservatives.

If anyone wants to see what a trump presidency would look like, just take a gander at that other “Republican” Michael Bloomberg.

So this is the guy Freeper's want in the White House? Do you agree with Trump that Bush lied and deserved to be impeached?

Trump: I wanted Bush impeached

(CNN) – Business mogul Donald Trump told CNN Wednesday House Speaker Nancy Pelosi should have sought to impeach President Bush when she had the chance.

In an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer, Trump said the president and his administration deliberately lied about the Iraq war, and congressional Democrats missed an opportunity to impeach him when the party took control of Congress in 2006.

"I was surprised that she didn't do more in terms of Bush and going after Bush," Trump said. "It was almost - it just seemed like she was going to really look to impeach Bush and get him out of office, which personally I think would have been a wonderful thing."

Pressed why he feels Bush deserved the punishment faced by only two other commanders-in-chief, Trump said the president misled the country in the run-up to the Iraq war, and that his actions were considerably more objectionable than those which led to the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.

"He lied. He got us into the war with lies," Trump said. And I mean - look at the trouble Bill Clinton got into with something that was totally unimportant. And they tried to impeach him, which was nonsense. And yet Bush got us into this horrible war with lies, by lying, by saying they had weapons of mass destruction, by saying all sorts of things that turned out not to be true."

It's possible so many around here are thinking of some of the other stupid things Trump has said, and they are automatically assuming that he has done it again.

Yes, and although we got, I think, two solid Supreme Court justices (once the Miers’ nomination got scotched) and a reinstitution of the Mexico City policy, there were lots of negatives too. It was not just the last two years. No Child Left Behind, the federalizing of airport security (thanks for TSA, Dubya!), the creation of Homeland Defense, his blind loyalty to Muller at FBI & the CIA director (can’t remember the name)...objecting to these policies is not the result of “BDS.” Bush’s admin often gave the impression Liberalism and worse, of general bungling. Not on the scale of the Kenyan, but it was bad sometimes. Oh, did I forget to mention holding elections in Muslim countries, 80% of whose electorates yearn for Sharia law? Brilliant move, Condi Rice & Co. The Christians get it in the neck, and the extremists have a better shot at the Caliphate.
