Trump lashes out at George W. Bush and Obama By: CNN Political Producer Shannon Travis

Palm Beach, Florida (CNN) – Donald Trump has more harsh criticism for one of the most recognizable men in the world: George W. Bush.

In a display of bipartisan bashing, Trump lashed out at the nation's 43rd president as he criticized the 44th.

"George Bush gave us Barack Obama. If it weren't for George Bush, we wouldn't have Barack Obama," Trump said on Friday. "So I'm not thrilled with George Bush."

The billionaire real estate mogul made the comments at his famed Palm Beach estate Mar-a-Lago that sits on 20 acres and boasts 126 rooms. The star of NBC's "The Apprentice" spoke to reporters in a hastily arranged news conference moments before a posh, poolside party at the estate and hours before he was to speak at a Tea Party rally.

Trump was pressed to explain his comments.

"Because he[Bush] didn't have a great presidency, especially at the end. And because of his actions, and because of his aura, it was very tough for a Republican to win," Trump said. "And in all fairness to John McCain and to Sarah Palin, I think it would have been very, very tough for anybody – for Abraham Lincoln – to win after having followed George Bush."

Now that is the first thing Trump has said that I can agree with. LOL

Problem is, Trump will say anything to get attention. Trump has said Bush43 is "evil", but Obama would make a "great" potus. After endorsing Kerry in 2004 and his first choice of Hillary in 2008, Trump can't be trusted. PERIOD!

I have to agree with Karl Rove, who referred to Trump as a “joke candidate”. Why are all of Trump’s Lemmings ignoring the fact that he gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Harry Reid, John Kerry and Chuck Shumer? Conservative? I think not!

Now.....Trump is sounding like Ron Paul on Iraq (though little else). What a shameless panderer. One day he’s Colonel Jack Ripper on war and Huckabee on abortion, and then he switches back again. As to foreign policy, I prefer the real Ron Paul not an immitator.

Trump is modifying his Bush criticisms, trying to make his criticism of Bush more acceptable with conservatives.

Yes, Trump can't be trusted.

You must have forgotten your sarcasm tag. Either that or I have not had nearly enough coffee today.

I agree at least partly Bush gave us Obama.
Bushes spending and debt gave credence to Obamas philosophy on spending and debt.

“Trump is modifying his Bush criticisms, trying to make his criticism of Bush more acceptable with conservatives.”

There are clear issues on which Bush deserves every criticism he receives.

For one;

He was not a “conservative” as much as he was a “globalist.”

I just do not think Bush was so great. I don’t like Globalists. I voted Bush only because of fear of Gore and Kerry. But are you for any of the Bush big government creations I list? If it comes down to Obama and another GOP designated Loser I will probably vote for the RINO again. But I sure won,t go out and work like I did last year.

Clinton made Bush possible.Bush made Obama possible.Obama has made Trump a possibility....no doubt in my mind.

Precisely. The whole “Bush is evil” movement was based on absolutely nothing other than a desire to demonize Republicans. Regardless of what what Pres. Bush did or how he did it, he would have been branded as evil.

Every time I think of the utter and complete mess at the U.S. / Mexican border, I’m not thrilled with Bush either.

He donated money to Kerry so I’m sure he would have been very happy.

Here are my major criticisms of Bush: amnesty, perscription drugs, Fannie/Freddie bailout and TARP.
