The case for betting on Obama in 2012
peregrine5700.wordpress ^

Posted on 04/17/2011 2:25:51 PM PDT by wendy1946

The following item is being passed around in email and, apparently falsely, is being attributed to Dr. Walter Williams of George Mason University, sometimes heard filling in on Limbaugh's radio program.

It is scary stuff nonetheless regardless of who wrote it:

Can President Obama be defeated in 2012? No. He can’t. I am going on record as saying that President Barak Obama will win a second term. The media won’t tell you this because a good election campaign means hundreds of millions (or in Obama’s case billions) of dollars to them in advertising. But the truth is, there simply are no conditions under which Barak Obama can be defeated in 2012.

The quality of the Republican candidate doesn’t matter. Obama gets reelected. Nine percent unemployment? No problem. Obama will win. Gas prices moving toward five dollars a gallon? He still wins. The economy soars or goes into the gutter. Obama wins. War in the Middle East? He wins a second term. America’s role as the leading Superpower disappears? Hurrah for Barak

Obama! The U.S. government rushes toward bankruptcy, the dollar continues to sink on world markets and the price of daily goods and services soars due to inflation fueled by Obama’s extraordinary deficit spending? Obama wins handily.

You are crazy Williams. Don’t you understand how volatile politics can be when overall economic, government, and world conditions are declining? Sure I do. And that’s why I know Obama will win. The American people are notoriously ignorant of economics. And economics is the key to why Obama should be defeated. Even when Obama’s policies lead the nation to final ruin, the majority of the American people are going to believe the bait-and-switch tactics Obama and his supporters in the media will use to explain why it isn’t his fault. After all, things were much worse than understood when he took office.

Obama’s reelection is really a very, very simple math problem. Consider the following:

1) Blacks will vote for Obama blindly. Period. Doesn’t matter what he does. It’s a race thing. He’s one of us,

2) College educated women will vote for Obama. Though they will be offended by this, they swoon at his oratory. It’s really not more complex than that,

3) Liberals will vote for Obama. He is their great hope,

4) Democrats will vote for Obama. He is the leader of their party and his coattails will carry them to victory nationwide,

5) Hispanics will vote for Obama. He is the path to citizenship for those who are illegal and Hispanic leaders recognize the political clout they carry in the Democratic Party,

6) Union members will vote overwhelmingly for Obama. He is their key to money and power in business, state and local politics,

7) Big Business will support Obama. They already have. He has almost $1 Billion dollars in his reelection purse gained largely from his connections with Big Business and is gaining more everyday. Big Business loves Obama because he gives them access to taxpayer money so long as they support his social and political agenda,

8) The media love him. They may attack the people who work for him, but they love him. After all, to not love him would be racist,

9) Most other minorities and special interest groups will vote for him. Oddly, the overwhelming majority of Jews and Muslims will support him because they won’t vote Republican. American Indians will support him. Obviously homosexuals tend to vote Democratic. And lastly,

10) Approximately half of independents will vote for Obama. And he doesn’t need anywhere near that number because he has all of the groups previously mentioned. The President will win an overwhelming victory in 2012.

The claim is that all which will matter in 2012 will be demographics.

The happiest situation I can think of would be for 20 or 25 states to have passed bills such as AZ just passed by that time, and Bork Obunga not even be allowed to run and nobody have to find out whether the author of this thing is onto anything or not.

He has a point. Would George Bush, the RNC’s annointed one, have won in 1980? I think it would have been close. Hell, even after Reagan, we didn’t want him, and then Dole got rejected, allowing Clinton 2 terms. It is tough to get rid of these guys, even the bad ones. It will take someone who goes after Obama with truth, toughness and persuasion. Someone conservative and likeable.

Scary? Ha, hardly. This college educated woman barfs at his oratory and there are many liberals and RATs who are having buyer’s remorse. I truly feel the msm is on the fence and the least bit of blood that spills will turn them into wolves. No, the usurper will be lucky to finish this term before it hits the fan.

Totally bogus! 8 already includes 1-2-3-5-6-9, you can’t count them twice, although I’m sure the Democrats will try.

Several of these demographics mentioned (gays, American Indians, Muslims, Jews, big business) are not large voting blocks in terms of percentage of the population. The black and Hispanic vote would be more significant in impact.

I don't know if Walter E Williams wrote this, but it is a sobering think piece.

GHW Bush would have lost to Carter in 1980.

The incumbants always have the advantage. However, two group that 0bama won in 2008 have pretty much deserted him already - White males and young people. Polls in Ohio and Fla have already shown that GOP can already win in both places. Unions cannot get a canddiate elected in Wisconsin.

Independents have pretty much soured on him, although the definition of an independent has somewhat changed. The media left might talk about 0 but they are not happy with him and probably will stay home in 2012.

"I am going on record as saying that President Barak Obama will win a second term."

Win or lose, the Democrats will see to it they achieve their objective of destroying the United States.

A second term is certain doom, and a loss means they'll throw a fit of historic proportions and burn the country down.

The Baby Boomers and George Soros are old.

They aren't will to delay seeing their dream achieved any longer.

Williams would not have listed categories of support which overlap each other without pointing that fact out. He would not have forgotten the Black, college-educated, Liberal, Lesbian, Democrat Union member.

I bet this was written by a lib to discourage Republicans. The attribution to Williams is a giveaway. Conference callers (and writers) always start by giving their (fake) conservative credentials.

Yesterday I ran into a woman that had Obama stickers on her car, they have disappeared, so I asked some questions. She no longer will support or vote for him, she has had enough. I would take her to be in her 50’s-60’s, highly doubtful she is college educated but I would guess she once worked in labor and was a union member. Pray there are more like her.

Didn’t James Carville write a book after Obama’s election predicting 40 more years of uninterrupted Democrat control of the House, Senate and Presidency? That title didn’t last long.
