RADIATION LEVELS IN CALIFORNIA
VANITY
Posted on 04/17/2011 5:38:32 PM PDT by not2worry
I have been looking all weekend for information on radiation levels in California.
I had heard from a friend that the levels are getting increasingly higher.
I have used every search engine and the latest information I able to retrieve is from March 19, 2011.
Is there some reason no one is talking about this?

You ain’t dead. That’s the best sign. Wait ‘til dark and see if you glow. No glow is good - glow, not so much.

I looked through the EPA website initially after states in US first detected radiation from Japan. I haven’t checked it lately but here’s the link for the intro page to the EPA database re radiation from Japan

Here in CO, things are ever so slightly stronger...as in “ worse if I eat a banana” to “slightly less worse if I eat a banana”.
And yes, I have a geiger counter.

Yes.
It's the same reason that flight attendants say: ‘Stay calm, it's just a small bump. All is well.’
You HAVE to be kidding, right?
Have a good, long life and do not concern yourself with this itty bit of radiation that is floating around in the atmosphere.
Remember: radiation is 100% natural and it's completely organic.
Now, get into your car and do something REALLY dangerous like drive in a California city.
Have a good time!

I had heard from a friend that the levels are getting increasingly higher. Of what political stripe is this "friend"?
The environmentalists are milking this for all it's worth. If you check their sites you'll find all kinds of frightful "information".

It is a well known fact that radiation can induce madness and delusions. But living in California, how could you tell?.....☺.

If you honestly believe that radiation from the Japanese nuclear plants can have a significant effect on CA, you are truly clueless. Compared to the naturally occurring radiation in the environment, they are like a bucket of water in the ocean.

Nope. I-131 decays out pretty fast. Lefties exaggerate that sort of thing, so ignore them.
