Haven’t seen either movie, but wouldn’t a body double also be used for nude scenes? For some reason I thought there might be nude scenes on both movies and Natalie Portman seems to be modest in that regard.
“That student could have gotten some serious health problems from jumping into an icy lake.”
Oh put!
Serious health problems?
We were raised in cold climate, and we liked it that way.
Cold water for baths, uphill both ways to school and barefoot till 21.
We never complained and lived to beat the nazi’s!!!/S
My grandma was never a wimp, like these wimps we have around us today.
I remember very well the consequences when a leading actor was killed in the final filming of Twilight Zone: The Movie.
It delayed the film I think by at least two years and it was severely edited, the actor Vic Morrow was decapitated by the blades of a chopper along with a Vietnamese child actor.
Big deal....
But... but... you mean that Hollywood films are not completely real?
Say it ain’t so...
Hmmmm... because they're actresses and actors, and not stunt people, cops, dancers, astronauts, Biblical figures, and so on?
I think I may have some bad news for you.
William Shatner didn't really go into space or command the USS Enterprise or kill alien dudes.
Judy Garland didn't really go to Oz or make friends with Munchkins or land a house on anyone's sister.
Clint Eastwood didn't really stroll around San Francisco with his .44 Smith & Wesson Model 29 blowing away bad guys.
Slim Pickens never rode the H-bomb to detonation.
Charlton Heston never went to the Holy Land to part the Red Sea, never traveled into the future to kill any damned dirty apes, and never offed any zombies after a terrible plague took most of humanity. He never thought that Soylent Green was people, either.
They were acting. Hired for their ability to deliver lines or look pretty/handsome, or because they made nice with the producer or because they owned the property.
HTH
Well, they are paid to act, you know. I'm not a big fan of Portman's, but they don't award Oscars based on jumping into cold lakes.
This is news? This has been going on ever since movies began.
