My ticket was only $7.25. I was expecting to pay $10-11 and would have done so to up the box office receipts for this movie. Ticket prices for other movies were higher. Why would tickets be priced this way? I haven’t been to a movie theatre in years so I don’t know how these things are determined....

Well, the theater can probably afford to show that movie cheaper than the others. The won't have to pay for security to deal with fist fights or people sneaking in, and they won't need a pressure washer and a bobcat to clean up afterward.

Presumably, the pricing was based on a business judgment that few people would shell out $10-$12 to see this one.
