Trump reminds me of Carl Paladino. People (myself included) liked Paladino's idea of "taking a baseball bat to Albany" (metaphorically, of course) and warmed to the idea of a businessman taking care of, well, business, in the political mess called New York. However, his straight talk did not inspire people to vote for him and the gubernatorial election went to the lovely and gracious leftist, Andrew Cuomo.
I find it interesting that Rush Limbaugh heralds Donald Trump's forthrightness yet wimps out when it comes to asking "The Donald" any truly tough questions.
Here are a few questions I'd ask Trump:
- You have a history with George Soros in that he invested a hefty sum toward your Chicago luxury condo project back in 2004. Is there a balance on that "investment" and is your current "campaign" a payback?
- What do you think of Sarah Palin as a presidential contender? Are you hoping to pull some of her supporters into your camp?
- If you were to become the nominee, who would you choose as your running mate, and why?
- If you decide against running for POTUS, who will you endorse from among the current field of candidates and potential candidates from any political party?
Trump reminds me of Carl Paladino...
The Donald reminds me more of THIS "celebrity businessman" -- whose "conservative" TALK briefly raised our hopes out here in California:
It turned out that our GOP "Barbarian" -- was really just another "girly man" behind his mask. :(
I fear that Trump may be similarly deceiving conservatives nationwide today.
