Fifty years ago today, a brigade of 1,400 US-trained and -financed rebels was struggling desperately to keep alive an attempt to topple Fidel Castro and liberate Cuba from his communist regime.
But by April 21, 1961, four days after the initial invasion at the Bahia de Cochinos (Bay of Pigs), the invaders had run out of ammunition and were forced to surrender -- victims of a monumental failure of will by Washington.

I don’t know much about this period as I was almost 7 months old when it happened.
They are in the process of providing more support to the ragtag, I saw two light tanks and two old mothballed helicopters headed toward the ports on I 81 today, I would guess there were many many more on the way, this was old 1970/80’s equipment, could only be going one place.

The amount of money and assets required for an invasion could only be funded by CIA.Alabama air guard B-26s would be the tipoff to me.
