My wife and I have been to every April 15th TEA Party event. This year it was a monumental waste of time. The TEA Party movement in DE has been co-opted by the RINO establishment.
It seems that now you have to be invited to a TEA Party protest. If you are not on one of their mailing lists. you don't get invited. Result - this year's attendance was 50-75 people vs. >500 in prior years.
The message from the speakers was: a)we all have to accept higher taxes and b) we have to be nice to our opponents. The host even went so far as to claim: "we have moved on from protests such as these", without saying what we are moving towards! What a pity.
Where is Christine O’Donnell these days?
Isn’t she running the show in Delaware?
Why don’t you make your own Tea Party group? If these clowns were infected with RINO-itis, kindly communicate with the rest of the saner members and separate from the incumbemt power-hungry TP members. Looks like it is also a power struggle.
NOBODY holds the copyright to the movement which makes it unique.

Dang! And that’s where my intrepid old ancestor landed and settled in this country. He would not be pleased.
You need to meet Fishtalk from the Delaware swamps!
sorry you had such a sad showing
compromise should not be in our vocabulary
higher taxes are a compromise
being ‘nice’ is a compromise we’ve tried for 30 years and “it don’t work” when only one side is doing it, to be blunt
if your teaparty has been co-opted by the power-hungry, begin another chapter that will stick to message
BWAHAHAHA!
Good one.
Of course, there’s this:

I attended the Tea Party in Wilmington held last year on the April 15th. Several groups hosted it and it was well attended. Our Tea Party group is Tri-State regional and also in Delaware. Which Conservative/Tea Party Groups held it?
I wouldn’t call it a Conservative/TEA Party group, but the Rail Splitter’s held it. As I said, it was a RINO event.
Too bad.
There are several TP groups we work with in DE, one of them. “Diamond State Tea Party,” who held their event on the 15th in Dover. I can assure you, they haven’t been co-opted by the RINO establishment.
That’s O.k. There’s nothing they can do about Nov. 2012. they can put out as many Phony polls and insights on how peple really feel or think hoping to convince us that we are alone in our thinking. Thanks to Beck, we know better.
I remember. Hellinahandcart’s husband.
