Immigration group takes issue with Montana’s proposed referendum

HELENA – A proposed referendum to require proof of citizenship to receive some state services in Montana has drawn the attention of a national immigration organization. On Thursday the Immigration Policy Center, a research and policy center in Washington, D.C., issued a media release that said such a move would be “costly and unworkable.”

“The true costs associated are unknown because the damage to the state’s reputation and economy through lost tourism and business aren’t calculable until after the fact,” according to the release.

House Bill 638 is sponsored by Rep. David Howard, R-Park City. Howard said the measure is proactive.

“Arizona has a catastrophic problem with illegal immigration,” due to the lack of enforcement on the issue by the federal government, Howard said. “If Montana doesn’t step forward and do what we can, we’re going to be in the same place someday.”

Additionally, Howard said the move ties into Republican lawmakers’ top priority, jobs, and said not enforcing the law would make lawmakers derelict in their duties.

“I’m trying to protect Montanans,” Howard said. “It becomes a jobs bill for Montanans.”

In an email to Montana Watchdog, American Immigration Council Communications Director Wendy Sefsaf said the move would actually hurt Montana’s economy.

The person who runs the "Immigration Policy Center" is a former Kennedy Senate staffer who worked for him on "comprehensive" immigration reform. The center is an arm of the immigration lawyers' tax-exempt non-profit American Immigration Council.

Open borders ping — Note that this group doesn’t want people to even have a chance to vote on this proposal.

This crap never stops, does it.

One of these days, I’m going to go Gault. And how will I do that?

By renouncing my US citizenship, becoming a Mexican, then I’ll cross the US border illegally.

I’ll get more perks; more benefits that way than I’ll ever get by being a taxpaying sap.

When a state is not allowed to demand proof of citizenship when giving away the tax money taken in by the state, something is terribly skewed—IMHO.

RE: "'The true costs associated are unknown because the damage to the state’s reputation and economy through lost tourism and business aren’t calculable until after the fact,'"

The same old excuse.

If the federal govt. did its job there would be none of this "damage to the state's reputation and economy through lost tourism and business...."

Here's a clue on Montana's tourist income ~ big game hunting's the game ~ and some great fly fishing (or so I've heard). You get the illegals out of Montana you'll have fewer poachers and the hunting and fishing will improve immediately.

There is no problem here ~ and the Kennedy family running dog lackeys should back out of it.

How about offering bounties for illegal alien breeders and carriers? Dead or alive. Preferred dead. Don't want to play the game? Go back home to corruption at all levels and narco wars. Win-win.

There are some scifi movies based on that idea where rich guys can hunt live human game.

In the end some hero always shows up and the hunters become the game.

I think it would be enough to just give your better Border Patrol guys a two week EXTRA vacation every year in Montana. They would be authorized to DO THEIR THING.

BTW, in my experience there are always a few federales around who like to hunt and they'll do just about anything to get a regular assignment in Montana ~ even though most of them don't particularly care for the winters. There's really no reason Montana can't be treated as "special" ~ along with Wyoming and parts of Idaho.

Note that these invader/terrorists (posing as immigrant groups) will go to any lengths to prevent Americans from voting on laws that protect the US from self-serving immigrants.

The evidence is mounting that Mexican/Central-South American parasites are building a separate Third World nation inside the US (financed with our tax dollars). The poseurs (invaders, parasites, terrorists, drug cartels and drug runners) have their orders-----to decimate all US laws, institutions, culture and customs.

This is a criminal Third World conspiracy MO to soften up the US for the big takeover---Reconquista.

============================================

PASS THE WORD---Here's one way Americans can protect our country against these invaders.

REFERENCE In 1996, Congress expanded the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) to include violations of federal immigration law.

1 While this expansion may not have received much publicity, it could potentially change the face of U.S. immigration law enforcement. Under the new RICO provisions, a violation of certain provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) meets the definition of racketeering activity, also known as a "predicate offense,"

2 and an entity that engages in a pattern of racketeering activity for financial gain can be held both criminally and civilly liable.

3 Among other things, the INA makes it unlawful to encourage illegal immigration or employ illegal aliens,

4 which violations were included as predicate offenses under RICO.

The 1996 law changes in the INA made hiring illegal aliens a predicate act of racketeering activity under RICO, but illegal hiring wasn’t the only violation of the INA made a predicate act. Other INA prohibitions made RICO predicate acts were encouraging or inducing illegal immigration, smuggling, and harboring illegal aliens.10 Together, these additions make the RICO Act potentially a very strong new tool in the hands of private parties against persons and companies that profit by violating U.S. immigration law.

Additionally, the RICO provision regarding the unlawful encouragement of illegal immigration could justify a suit against a private entity, such as a bank, that accepts foreign-issued identification cards that are only needed by illegal aliens.

One example of this, of course, is the matricula consular issued by the Mexican consulates in the United States. Since both the supporters of the matricula and those who oppose its acceptance agree that only illegal aliens have need to rely on the card, acceptance of the card knowingly encourages illegal immigration.

NOTE: Not one Mexican banks accept govt-issue official Matricula Consular card as ID to open a Mexican bank account b/c the MC bearer's identity is all but untraceable. MC cards are government-issued phony ID's. The Mexican govt designed MC cards to allow Mexican nationals (who violated our borders) to swamp the US banking system using multiple identities---to get on the US gravy train. The Mexican govt's objective is to weaken the US financial system, create chaos, and to ripoff US banks. US taxpayers are forced to pick up the tab for the resultant frauds........

Part of the legislative intent of the RICO laws in general was to afford private citizens a remedy for lawbreaking when authorities normally charged with such enforcement became derelict in their duties.

For example, in a town in which political corruption and racketeering activity have combined to the detriment of law-abiding citizens and the rule of law, the RICO Act was intended to provide private citizens the ability to initiate court action to compel enforcement and respect for the law

LOST Tourism????

I predict that Montana will get increased tourism——just because people would support any state which decided to quit throwing money at illegal intruders.

Many studies have shown that if California would demand such proof before handing out benefits to illegals, they would balance their budget in one year.

Democrat stupidity in California refuses to address the problem.
