USF Student Body President Vows to Speak for 24 Hours (FL, Barf)

TAMPA — He sat at a flimsy folding table, an American flag waving nearby, tapping at his microphone and clearing his throat. This, Cesar Hernandez said in a rambling introduction, is his generation's moment. Time to introduce the country to its future leaders. Time to make your voice heard.

The reason, unclear in his prologue, was explained in a news release sent out to local media: Hernandez wants legislators in Tallahassee and Washington, D.C., to keep students in mind when making budget cuts and changes to immigration laws. He also hopes the filibuster-like oratory will convince President Barack Obama to visit USF's campus to talk to students directly about higher education decisions.

Hour one began with a short story of Hernandez's Guatemalan heritage, his upbringing in Brooklyn and an assertion that we're all "citizens of the world." Hernandez, a 24-year-old biomedical science senior who wants to be an anesthesiologist and someday run for political office, wore a crisp gray suit with his hair slicked back. He touched on legislative issues: tuition increases, funding cuts for student organizations and Arizona-style immigration laws.

Then, for most of the next several hours, he read from Howard Zinn's A People's History Of The United States.

This little creep probably wanted to scream ‘reconquesta’ at the top of his lungs and burn the American flag next to him. Deportation now!

Hey Cesar, have you ever thought about working part time and paying your own way through college. At lot of us took that route. I also know people who enlisted and took advantage of the GI bill when their enlistment was up. Sounds to me that all you want is a free handout.

This one leftist clown is bad enough.

What is worse is his guide, Howard Zinn and his book. There is no telling how many hundreds of thousands of minds it has and will pollute.

Mr. Cesar Hernandez needs to study some American History.
He seems to think that Americans could not suceed without assistance from the Government. The men and women that founded and built this great Nation did so long before the Government became the great provider. They worked and struggled and worked some more. They learned without aid from the Government. They built, they raised famiies and those families learned and worked and struggled and continued to build this great Nation. The Government did not win WW1 and WW2, men and women did. Normal regular everyday American citizens. Poeple that would see Mr Hernandez as a weak whiney person that probally is in need of Government help to suceeed......

Wow, medical background AND political science major. He will be immediately appointed to the “Panels” on who gets the operation or not. Not only that, if they DO...
