Donald Trump is riding high in conservative Republican circles, thanks in part to the wall-to-wall coverage center-right Newsmax, the national magazine and heavily-trafficked website, is giving to his upstart and popular presidential candidacy.
Need proof? Time's story on Trump has The Apprentice host waving a copy of a Newsmax poll showing him in the lead and says Trump speaks regularly to conservative "force" Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy. And the liberal media watchdog Media Matters has suggested that the two are in cahoots.
So is there a Trump-Newsmax conspiracy? "Yes," cheers Ruddy. "Trump realizes the great potential of Newsmax and has been using it very adroitly. We're well aware he's using it, happy he's using it" says Ruddy from the Newsmax HQ in Florida.
"He's been really responsive to our news team here," says Ruddy, who calls Trump a "friend."
Recently, the potential 2012 GOP primary candidate dropped by Newsmax's West Palm Beach HQ and even chose it as the place to reveal his American birth certificate, part of his effort to call into question President Obama's birthplace. Ruddy doesn't back the birther movement and says he told Trump that he believes Obama was born in Hawaii.
Media Matters last week put a spotlight on the news site's coverage of Trump, calling it an "early and enthusiastic promoter of Trump's presidential ambitions."
Ruddy has no problem with that description. "Media Matters is right," he says.
But much more than Trump, says Ruddy, Newsmax is pushing all the leading candidates in the GOP field who see his site as a must-have interview. Those who've made the pilgrimage include Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Tim Pawlenty, Haley Barbour, and Mike Huckabee.

Rush has been treating him nice too.
I suspect that Newsweak is jealous of Newsmax.
It’s a conspiracy because Trump has been talking to Christopher Ruddy?
Newsweak’s reporters never talk to anyone, I suppose.
Trump is a pushover for no one, including Newsmax. He has likely rejected plenty of it and has plucked out what he has come to respect and nothing more. It’s in that right of simple inquiry that has worked so well for Trump and Newsmax somehow was able to inform him. Trump has said nothing inflammatory, just lays out the simple question with confidence and takes it to the Leftist media, who can’t seem to kill it. Wonderful.
And there was never a “conspiracy” between Obama - Immelt - NBC/MSNBC - GE
Rush and Trump have been friends and golf buddies for decades.
Florida....at least I'm close, until I go back to Maryland on Saturday.
I am all for giving Trump the microphone to shake things up.
It is far better then watching our “holier then thou”
McStaniac style wimps doing nothing.
I agree that Trump is a con artist that would probably stab his own mother, but I am all for him shaking things up, even with the birth certificate.
It is time to get tough, or loose America.

I have my on conspiracy theory. Trump is in league with Zerobama to split the Republican ticket so that zero gets another term.
I'm pretty sure Rush and Trump are in Palm Beach, the famous vacation residence of the uber-rich. That's where the mansions are. West Palm is a town with not quite so rich residents.
What conspiracy? US Snooze is only known for their stupid college review anymore, and that is a bit shady anyway. They have not broke a story since LBJ was President. They are just a little envious of an actual new outlet doings something newsworthy.
I’m thinking this is “Operation Chaos - part II”
And it begins with alot of bomb throwing to weaken the enemy.

The buffoon factor: President Trump?
What happens when you cross a narcissist with a buffoon in that great unwashed vat used to brew politics? You get a prospective presidential candidate named Donald Trump.
Mr. Trump is the bloviating business magnate whose failures rival his successes. He's been using his considerable ability to attract media attention to rattle the orchard trees to see if any political fruit falls at his feet.
Indeed, the more he rattles, the more attention he gets. And his basic name recognition has brought him success in early polls. But the more fruit that falls, the more rotten it seems to be.
Trump fancies himself as something of a populist conservative. And he intimates that should he run and should the GOP reject him, there might be an independent candidacy.
But what Trump is ideologically is more confused than anything.
Trump touts the "hundreds of thousands" of jobs he's created but supports policies that would lead to massive tax increases. He has no problem with nationalizing health care and conscripting the very wealth that feeds our investment pools.
And in matters of foreign policy, Trump redefines "imperialism," making Teddy Roosevelt look like Jimmy Carter.
Bombast and bluster might have worked for Donald Trump in his often audacious business dealings but it would make for a poor and dangerous president.

IMHO, Trump is Obama's version of Ross Peroit --- totally designed to split the opposition. He's just another scam artist. But he's a New York real estate developer, so I'm being redundant in calling him a scam artist.
noted...point is they are all three awful close to each other
Trump didn't even do his homework, before he started throwing the BC stuff around. He flip flops worse than Mittens, and I believe that somewhere, back in his mind, he truly believes that he can buy the presidency, should he decide to, with equal parts of money and lies............after all, that's what Obama did.
whatever it is - it’s fun to watch. No - I’m not going to fall for it - but every chip anyone can take out of the “One” is fine by me.
